I am interested in the process of personal growth. Challenges that life throws in our path can sometimes be disturbing, painful, confusing and/or distressing. These challenges can become obstacles, or a force for positive change. Bringing our own wisdom and awareness to our responses can make all the difference, whatever the situation however desperate it feels.
My belief is that each person has a drive to develop their inner potential. My professional role is to support this growth through a therapeutic process, based on a Humanistic/Person Centred stance.
Experience in a Hospice, H.M. Prison, an award winning Youth Counselling Service and in Schools has allowed me the opportunity to work with clients experiencing a wide range of issues.
Originally I trained with a Hospice to develop counselling skills, and then worked as a volunteer in the Hospice Bereavement Service. I continued working within the voluntary sector after qualifying. Then I developed an established private practice in Walton on Thames which is now re-opened online .
